I’m taking on the 100 Push-Ups a Day Challenge for Cancer Research UK

Can I really manage 100 push-ups a day for 31 days? Help me fundraise for the amazing Cancer Research UK!

Happy new year everyone!

I’m starting 2025 with a challenge I never thought I’d be able to achieve and it’s all to help raise money for life-saving research.

On each of January’s 31 days, I’m going to do 100 push-ups (or press-ups). That’s 3,100 in total, which is way more than I’ve done in the whole of my life so far.

The 100 Push-Ups a Day Challenge is set by Cancer Research UK, a charity that funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner.

In the last 50 years, the CRUK’s work has helped double cancer survival in the UK. So, who better to fundraise for and donate to?

I beat my fundraising target for Wilmslow Youth in the 2024 Wilmslow 10K Race

Supporting young people in my community made every kilometre worth it!

I’ve just completed my first organised 10K run, and raised hundreds for the wonderful Wilmslow Youth charity in the process!

I’ve always wanted to take part in an event like this for a good cause. So when I saw a LinkedIn post from a charity just around the corner from me, asking for runners, I jumped at the chance.

Thankfully, they were glad to have me (they didn’t know how slow I am) and even gave me a fancy T-shirt to wear on the day.

With the support of family, friends, and some of my wonderful copywriting clients, I beat my fundraising target. Still, the run itself was more challenging than I expected…
